Adult Swim has had a lot of memorable promos and bumpers over the years, but one of the more obscure ones (and a personal favorite of mine) has to be the "Not for Air" bumpers. These aired early on in Adult Swim's history, and are pretty simple. They're short clips of old Hanna-Barbera cartoons with a heavy dose of unnecessary censorship added into the mix. Not exactly highbrow humor, but they're funny for what they are. Below is a Flintstones bumper, based on the episode "Fred's New Boss".
This second bumper focuses on Jonny Quest, and is much shorter than the previous clip. That being said, there's still plenty of censor bleeps to be found here.
Last but most certainly not least, Scooby-Doo and the gang also got in on the fun with this bumper. I'm a little surprised Scooby was included in these, as by this point the character was beginning to become "off-limits" for Adult Swim to use. But here, we get to see him in all of his censored glory!
